RALEIGH CHOPPER ERA BIKES WITH STEEL RIMS NEED LEATHER FACED WET WEATHER BRAKE BLOCKS

These were designed to improve wet weather braking on steel rims, invented just before the new British Standards came in back in the 80’s, because normal brake shoes would not pass the strict brake test for BS1602/1 on steel rims in the wet

These  are ideal for all weather riding especially in the wet but ONLY for use on steel rims.

• Leather face blocks are used with steel rims to improve braking performance in the wet,

• Raleigh and all manufacturers used these type leather faced brake blocks throughout the eighties and nineties on all their caliper brake bikes that had steel rims

• These will suit all types of bikes with caliper/cable brake systems that are being used on chrome steel rim wheels

• Block length 40mm

• Everyone that is riding a steel rim bike with caliper brakes should fit these the difference is incredible!

• As these are new old stock they may be slightly off colour (tarnished) most are perfect but we sell them that way in case
